MISIÓN
Esta tienda en línea tiene como objetivo principal contribuir a que los hijos de la población hispana incrementen su vocabulario en español, a través de la lectura con cuentos mágicos. Aunado a esto, deseamos fomentar la lectura en las primeras etapas de desarrollo de los niños, por lo que nos esforzamos en hacer una selectiva búsqueda de libros con temáticas que los ayude a identificarse emocionalmente, a pensar, analizar y/o comparar situaciones que tienen a su alrededor.
LA HISTORIA
Mi nombre es Maria Fernanda, Venezolana, creadora de este hermoso emprendimiento llamado “Cuentos Mágicos for kids”, soy Psicóloga Clínica y mamá de Diego, quien me motivó para llevar a cabo este proyecto acompañada de su papá quien está con cámara en mano listo para hacer las mejores capturas. En Venezuela realicé un extenso trabajo en psicoterapia con niños y adolescentes, pero es posterior al nacimiento de Diego es cuando me comencé a conectar profundamente con el encanto de la literatura infantil, por sus hermosas ilustraciones, destacados mensajes transmitidos y por supuesto por tener conocimiento de todos los beneficios cognitivos que desarrollan.
Una vez en Canadá, con Diego de dos años de edad en plena etapa de la adquisición del lenguaje, me propuse la firme idea que él no perdiera nuestro idioma ya que es parte de nuestra magnifica cultura, sin embargo, yo sentía que esto se iba diluyendo porque su lenguaje en inglés se fortalecía más rápido que el español. Paralelamente, un día me di cuenta que yo sólo le estaba leyendo libros en inglés por lo difícil de conseguirlos en español, entonces comencé a tratar de ir traduciendo mientras los narraba, sintiéndome completamente incomoda y convirtiéndose esto en algo sin sentido y poco natural, porque es a través de la fluidez verbal y naturalidad que los niños se apropiaran de nuestro idioma.
A partir de esta necesidad, es cuando nace la inspiradora idea de emprender este camino de traer cuentos con nuestro idioma y cultura a Toronto y a toda Canadá. Esto me llena de felicidad y emoción, sentir que de alguna manera puedo contribuir al enriquecimiento del idioma en los niños descendientes de hispanos a través de lectura con cuentos mágicos.

The main objective of this online store is to help the children of the Hispanic population increase their vocabulary in Spanish, through reading magic stories. My name is Maria Fernanda, Venezuelan, creator of this beautiful venture called "Cuentos Mágicos for kids", I am a Clinical Psychologist and Diego's mother, who motivated me to carry out this project accompanied by his father who is the one with the camera in hand ready to take the best shots. In Venezuela I did extensive work in clinical psychotherapy with children and adolescents, but it is after Diego's birth when I began to connect deeply with the charm of children's literature, for its beautiful illustrations, outstanding messages transmitted and of course for having knowledge of all the cognitive benefits they develop.
Once in Canada, with two-year-old Diego in the midst of language acquisition, I decided that he would not lose our language since it is part of our magnificent culture, however, I felt that this was going away. diluting because his language in English was getting stronger faster than Spanish. At the same time, one day I realized that I was only reading books in English to him because of how difficult to get them in Spanish, so I began to try to translate while narrating them, feeling completely uncomfortable and turning this into something nonsensical and unnatural, because it is through verbal fluency and naturalness that children will take over our language.
It is from this need that the inspiring idea of embarking on this path of bringing stories with our language and culture to Toronto and all of Canada was born. This fills me with happiness and excitement, feeling that in some way I can contribute to the enrichment of the language in children of Hispanic descent through reading magic stories.
